Perfect Counter defines the Perfect Block playstyle. The 12-second crit window after a successful parry is long enough to commit a full combo, which is why Rapier and Saber builds that lean on parry timing treat this as mandatory.
A Fencer at rank-3 Perfect Counter lands a Perfect Block on an enemy swing. For the next 12 seconds, the character gains +12% Critical Hit Chance on top of any existing crit sources. On a build that already sits at 20% base crit, this pushes the burst window to 32%, and every hit in a 5-swing Deadly Finale combo rolls against that elevated chance.
Duration does not refresh on additional Perfect Blocks during the window, but the clock also does not stack; a second Perfect Block extends the effect back to a fresh 12 seconds.
Requires a weapon capable of Perfect Block. Halberds and Greatswords cannot Perfect Block; this talent is dead weight on those loadouts.
Crit magnitude scales with the Mastery stat, so the buff is worth more on a high-Mastery build.
