Initial version with Overview, Farming section (planting and harvest tables), Notes, and See Also
Palm is a ground-plantable palm tree in Windrose. Unlike Seedbed crops, palms grow on open terrain and are the primary farmed source of Wood at a player settlement, alongside dropping Palm Seeds for continuous replanting. A single Palm Sapling requires only one Palm Seed to plant and matures in a little over an hour of real-time growth.
Palms cluster naturally in the Coastal Jungle along beaches and near giant unchoppable trees, which is the same pattern that clusters Bananas. For a stable Wood income at a permanent base, planted palms on open ground are more space-efficient than Seedbed crops, which are gated on Fertile Soil and occupy a fixed slot count.
Palm Sapling is the plantable form of Palm. It grows on the open ground rather than in a Seedbed for Plants, so it does not compete with Seedbed slots at a base. It matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.
Planting requirements for open-ground placement. The ground variant can be clustered densely in an outdoor grove because it does not consume Seedbed slots.

Quantities below are the per-harvest ranges at 100% chance. The seed drop refunds the planting cost, so a single sapling produces a net gain on every cycle.

Wild seed source: Palm trees along Coastal Jungle beaches drop Palm Seeds on felling or harvest.
The Palm Sapling is classified as Tier 1 (starter), so it is available immediately without crafting station prerequisites beyond the Palm Seed itself.
Banana Seeds also drop off Palms, so a Banana farm and a Palm farm can share the same scouting route.
