The Medium Elegant Curtain is the medium-width panel of the red-and-green elegant drape, the dressier counterpart to the plain gray Curtains. Its fabric falls in deep folds for a royal, lived-in look. As with the gray style it comes in three widths so you can dress any opening: the Short Elegant Curtain, this medium piece, and the Long Elegant Curtain.
If you prefer a cooler, plainer tone the same plan unlocks the gray set: the Short Curtain, Medium Curtain, and Long Curtain. Pair either style with Curtain Rails to finish the window framing.
Its Max Health of 3,000 represents how much punishment the structure absorbs before it is destroyed. Decorations are not combat structures, so this mainly matters during raids or stray area damage; a destroyed piece must be rebuilt from the same materials.
The elegant sections cost the same as the plain ones: one Rope and five Linen Fabric each, with a one second build time. The richer appearance is purely cosmetic and does not change the Comfort value or the materials.

Both the elegant and plain curtains are taught by the Decoration: Elegant Curtains and Shelves plan.
Every decoration in this category contributes to your settlement's Comfort rating, the housing score that rewards captains for building a pleasant base rather than a bare one. This piece grants a +1 bonus to the Curtains category. Comfort bonuses inside a single category do not stack, so building several pieces from the same group does not multiply the bonus; each one still reports the same +1 value.
Like all furnishings, it only functions when placed inside the radius of a Bonfire. Outside that range it still stands as built but stops counting toward Comfort, so position decorations near the fire that anchors your camp. Mixing pieces from different Comfort categories is the practical way to push the overall score higher.
Combine the Short, Medium, and Long elegant sections to span a full window with one continuous red-and-green drape.
Mix elegant and plain sections only if you want a deliberate two-tone look; otherwise keep one style per window for a clean line.
Since curtain Comfort does not stack, use curtains for their appearance and rely on other categories to keep raising the overall Comfort rating.
