Function and Placement

The Large Beam (Timber) is a horizontal structural piece in the Pillars and Beams group of Building Pieces. It spans the gap between two upright supports, letting you carry a floor, roof, or upper level across a wider opening than a single wall can bridge. As the larger variant it covers a longer span than the standard Beam (Timber), so it suits broad doorways, hall ceilings, and overhangs where you want fewer interior pillars.

It is crafted from Wood, the same basic material refined from Timber, which keeps it cheap enough to use freely while roughing out a base layout.

The 1,500 Max Health gives this beam more durability than the lighter weathered and stick pieces, which matters when a structure takes damage from raids or environmental hazards.
