Large Barracuda is a large-sized fish caught in the deep waters around the Caribbean in Windrose. It is a Fishing pickup that processes into Fish Fillet, the universal cooked-fish ingredient used in dozens of Cooking recipes.
Flavor: This behemoth lurks in the depths, striking with lightning speed and without mercy. Sailors say even small boats were overturned by its furious lunge.

Large Barracuda is caught with a Fishing Rod in deep water tiles. Deep-water fish bite while you are anchored over open ocean tiles, beyond the surf line that surrounds each island. A reliable spot is anywhere your ship can drop anchor in pure blue sea, where fish appear in a rolling rotation that includes Mackerel, Barracuda, Bluefish, and Red Snapper among others.
Bait quality and rod tier raise the catch rate but do not affect which species bite. Higher-tier rods have shorter cast times and better tug response, which matters when several bite windows overlap on a busy fishing trip.
The primary use is processing into Fish Fillet at a kitchen Cookware station. One Fish Fillet is the universal cooked-fish ingredient, so a single Large Barracuda feeds straight into the Cooking tree. Fish Fillet stacks high and is used in recipes such as Fish and Tostones, which sit at the top end of food buffs. Filleting first is almost always better than selling the raw fish, both for the higher value and because Fish Fillet stacks while the raw Large Barracuda does not.
Large Barracuda weighs 2 kg per fish and does not stack each large fish takes its own inventory slot. Keep a clear hold or process them on the spot. The deep-water rotation tends to drop large fish less often than medium fish, so any Large Barracuda that lands on the line is worth the slot.
At 2 kg per fish and a stack size of 1, Large Barracuda is one of the heaviest single items a fishing trip produces. Plan hold space before a long deep-water session, because a hold full of large fish fills up fast. The two practical options are to carry a portable Cookware setup and fillet on the spot, or to keep runs short and return to a base Cooking station between trips. Because the deep-water table favours smaller fish, any Large Barracuda that bites is worth keeping over a more common medium catch.
