Grog

Grog is a family of three Rare buff drinks in Windrose. Each Grog variant provides a 15% combat bonus for 30 minutes of real time: Deadeye Grog for Damage, Hard Grog for Damage Resistance, and Gunroom Grog for firearm reload speed. All three are brewed at the Alchemy Table (Stove and Pot upgrade) and all interact with Naval Tactics III: Stretch The Supply for extended duration.

The Three Variants

Recipes

All three Grogs are Rare, require the Alchemy Table with the Stove and Pot upgrade, and use Rum Bottles as the base ingredient.

Deadeye Grog

Flavor: blend of rum, Madeira, and strong coffee. Pairs with any damage-scaling loadout.

Hard Grog

Flavor: fortified ration of grog with brandy and lime. Pairs with tanking builds.

Gunroom Grog

Flavor: rum and whiskey cut with cayenne. Pairs with ranged builds that burn through gunpowder.

Interaction with Naval Tactics III

Grogs are the primary beneficiary of Naval Tactics III: Stretch The Supply, which adds +200% Grog duration. With Stretch The Supply equipped, the 30-minute base stretches to 90 minutes (30 x 3 = 90). One brew session typically lasts an entire play session.

When to Use Each

• Deadeye Grog before boss fights, hauler farms, or any engagement where damage output determines kill time. Works for both melee and ranged weapons.

• Hard Grog before dungeon runs or extended tanking exchanges. The flat 15% DR stacks with armor set bonuses like Conquistador 2P (+15% DR) and Tracker 4P (+15% DR).

• Gunroom Grog when running a Marksman build that relies on Active Reload cadence. The +15% reload speed compounds with talents like Planning Ahead and Quick Hand.
