The Grandfather Clock is a placeable decoration in Windrose, at home in city councils and taverns alike. It belongs to the Miscellaneous group of Decorations and exists to raise the comfort level of a settled base rather than to serve any combat or storage function.
Like every comfort decoration, it works only within Bonfire range. Placed outside the protective radius of a fueled Bonfire it provides no comfort and will decay over time, so keep it inside an established base.
It grants Comfort +1. Comfort bonuses in this category do not stack, so a second Grandfather Clock (or any other Miscellaneous-category piece) adds nothing further to the same Bonfire. To climb the comfort ladder, combine one piece from each category rather than duplicating this one. See the Comfort System page for how the per-category caps add up into the overall comfort tier that boosts rest and crafting.

Hardwood is the only material required, which makes the Grandfather Clock one of the cheaper ways to claim the Miscellaneous comfort slot once you have a Hardwood supply running.

Learn the recipe from the Decoration: Watches and Globe plan. The same plan unlocks the matching globe piece, so buying it kits out the scholarly corner of a residence in one purchase.

The Grandfather Clock pairs naturally with other interior pieces. For surrounding decor, compare it with the broader Miscellaneous Decorations listing, the Garden Decorations set for outdoor spaces, and the Decorations overview that groups every comfort category together.
Grandfather Clock is part of the crafting progression chain rather than a standalone collectible. Use the recipe, station, and ingredient rows to trace what unlocks it, what it consumes, and which linked upgrades or materials should be prepared before crafting it.
