Initial version with Overview, Farming section (planting and harvest tables), Notes, and See Also
Ficus is a ground-plantable tree in Windrose. Each Ficus Sapling consumes one Ficus Seeds and yields Wood plus a replacement seed at every harvest. Ficus trees do not use Seedbeds and can be planted directly on open ground, making them a supplement to Palms for sustainable Wood farming at a base.
Wild ficus trees populate jungle and foothill transition zones alongside other tree clusters. Because the harvest cycle is identical to Palms and Shrubs (one seed in, one seed out plus a material), a small planted grove of Ficus trees behaves like a quiet, low-maintenance Wood engine once seeded.
Ficus Sapling is the plantable form of Ficus. It grows on the open ground rather than in a Seedbed for Plants, so it does not compete with Seedbed slots at a base. It matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.
Planting requirements for open-ground placement. The ground variant can be clustered densely in an outdoor grove because it does not consume Seedbed slots.
Property | Value |
|---|---|

Placement | Ground only |
Sapling Tier | Tier 1 (starter) |
Seed Required | Ficus Seeds x1 |

Quantities below are the per-harvest ranges at 100% chance. The seed drop refunds the planting cost, so a single sapling produces a net gain on every cycle.

Wild seed source: Wild ficus trees drop Ficus Seeds on felling or harvest.
Ficus Saplings are Tier 1 (starter), so the only prerequisite for farming them is a stash of Ficus Seeds.
Because Ficus yields Wood rather than a unique material, it is interchangeable with Palm for Wood farming. Pick whichever seed you encounter in greater quantity on a given island.
