The Dodo Twitch Drops campaign was a time limited cosmetic reward program that ran alongside the Early Access launch of Windrose. The event awarded the "Dodomogged" Twitch chat badge to people who subscribed to drops enabled channels in the Windrose Twitch category from April 14 through April 28, 2026.
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Reward | "Dodomogged" Twitch chat badge (permanent, kept with the account) |
Where it shows | Next to the user's name in Twitch chat, not as an in game item |
Active window | April 14 (7:00 UTC) to April 28 (6:59 UTC), 2026 |
Requirement | A paid or gifted sub to a drops enabled Windrose channel; Prime subs did not count |
Linked to | Kraken Express account, on Steam and Epic builds |
Link a Twitch account to a Kraken Express account, or use the in game linking flow (it worked on both the Steam and Epic builds).
Subscribe to, or gift a sub to, a Twitch channel that had opted into the Windrose Drops program while that channel was live in the Windrose category. A Prime subscription did not qualify.
Keep the subscription active long enough for Twitch's Drops system to credit the reward.
Claim the Dodomogged badge inside the Twitch Drops inventory, after which it appeared beside the claiming user's name in chat.
Many large channels opted into the program during the launch window, so the live roster of drops enabled streamers was broad and changed throughout the event. The full list was visible in the Twitch drops directory for the Windrose category while the campaign was running, and any channel streaming the category with drops enabled could grant the badge.
The campaign overlapped with a strong launch weekend in which Windrose drew a large concurrent audience in its Twitch category and millions of total hours watched across the first 48 hours. Over the same period the game briefly held the top Steam best seller position and reported around 500,000 sales in its first 48 hours. The drops campaign is widely seen as one reason the game's streaming momentum held through its opening weekend rather than spiking and fading. Exact concurrency and hours watched figures come from third party stream trackers and should be treated as approximate.
The Dodo is a flightless bird creature introduced early in the Windrose starting island experience, and one of the first recognisable creatures new players meet. The Dodomogged badge design leans on that early game association with a stylised dodo silhouette. The badge is a Twitch chat cosmetic that sits next to the user's name in chat; it is not an in game cosmetic.
The Dodomogged badge remained attached to the Twitch account of every user who claimed it during the event window, and it is a permanent item kept for as long as the account exists. Kraken Express did not publicly commit to re running this specific badge, but left the door open to future Twitch Drops campaigns tied to later milestones, for example a drop tied to a future Ashlands content update or to the 1.0 release. Players who missed the window should watch the official Steam news feed and the Multiplayer article for any new Drops announcements.
