How Recipe Papers Work

Decoration: Ship's Wheel Chandelier is a single-use Recipe Paper. Reading it permanently teaches the Helm Chandelier recipe to the character who reads it, with no further fee. The paper is consumed on use, and reading a second copy does nothing. Recipe Papers like this one are looted from the world, most often from chests in pirate camps and ruined points of interest scattered across the archipelago, and a small rotating selection appears in trader stock at Tortuga.

What It Unlocks

Once read, this plan adds the Helm Chandelier to the Workbench recipe list. The Helm Chandelier is a ceiling-mounted light built from a repurposed ship's wheel: the vessel may never sail again, but its steering wheel still earns its keep around the house, lighting cabins, taverns, and the homes of seasoned seafarers.

Helm Chandelier Recipe

Like every comfort decoration, the finished Helm Chandelier only counts while it sits inside the Bonfire radius, and it grants its category bonus through the Comfort System. Comfort is awarded once per category, so a single chandelier gives the same bonus as several; place one and spend the rest of the build on other categories.

Building Set

This plan belongs to the Jungle Survivor building set, a wood-and-rope style fitted to the Coastal Jungle biome. Collecting and reading every paper in the same set gives a coherent visual style across walls, furniture, and lighting. The set also includes other chandelier plans, so a fully kitted base can mix the Helm Chandelier with its siblings while still earning only the single chandelier-category comfort point.
