Deadly Hunter is a talent in the Marksman branch of the Windrose Talent System. Every enemy kill rolls a chance to skip the reload animation entirely, handing the wielder a fresh magazine.

Every firearm in Windrose scales with Precision (the Musket and Pistol both carry a B-tier Precision rating), with the Blunderbuss leaning on Agility instead. Deadly Hunter does not touch damage; it only removes downtime between shots, so it pairs with raw damage stats rather than competing with them. Because the proc is a flat percentage roll, it is consistent across the whole game and never scales down at higher difficulty.

Rank 1 | 15% |
Rank 2 | 25% |
Rank 3 | 35% |
Deadly Hunter rolls its instant-reload chance on every kill regardless of which firearm scored it, but the value of a skipped reload scales with how long that weapon's reload normally is. The Musket has the heaviest reload of the three firearms, so a skipped reload there saves the most time. The Pistol and Blunderbuss reload faster, so the talent saves proportionally less on each proc.

Strong on Musket, where it turns a 5-second reload into a free next shot on kills. Situational on Pistol and Blunderbuss where base reload pressure is lower.

Deadly Hunter is the Musket specialist's chain-kill enabler. The 35% instant-reload chance at rank 3 turns chained kills into free follow-up shots with no downtime.
A Musket build clearing a 5-enemy camp: each kill rolls for a 35% instant-reload at rank 3. Across 5 kills, the expected value is roughly 1.75 free reloads, which is 1 to 2 full shots of saved animation time. On a Musket that normally has a 5-second reload, that is 5 to 10 seconds of saved time per camp clear.
Applies to all ranged weapons, but Musket benefits most because it has the longest native reload window.
Pistol and Blunderbuss see smaller gains because their reload is already fast.
