Deadeye is a ship colour cosmetic in Windrose, recorded as a hull paint. It is applied at a player-built Wharf through the Manage Ship menu's Customization tab. Once unlocked, the scheme can be applied to any eligible ship the player owns at no Guinea cost.
A sign that your enemies' days are numbered.
Unlocked by reading the matching faction Hull Colors Style Book, sold by that faction's Provisioner. Reading the book permanently adds the scheme to the Wharf customisation menu for that character. Style Books for hull paints are typically priced in the 30 Guinea range. Hull schemes are tied to a hull type, so a scheme unlocked for one ship class appears when customising a ship of that class.
Sail the ship to a Wharf and dock it. Open the Manage Ship menu, switch to the Customization tab, and select Hull. The unlocked paints appear in the option list and previewing one swaps the live ship model immediately. Confirm to apply; there is no Guinea cost on application.
