Broken Musket is a high-quality firearm recovered from the world as part of a side quest. It is too damaged to fire, but the workmanship and the M.B. monogram on the metal inlay mark it as a personal weapon, not a stock issue, and the quest giver is the one looking for it. Unlike a working Musket, it cannot be equipped or fired and exists purely as a quest object.

In-Game Description

A heavy musket of excellent quality, likely made to order. It is broken, yet still bears the marks of safekeeping. The initials M.B. are engraved upon the metal inlay of the stock.

Where to Find

The Broken Musket is found inside a Buccaneers' Chest at an Abandoned Buccaneer Camp. It is a rare chest reward, so several runs through the camp's lootable containers may be needed before it appears. Because every Windrose world is procedurally generated, the camp's exact position on your map will differ from another player's, but the item always comes from the camp's chests rather than from an enemy you fight.

Quest Use

The musket is a hand-in object for the side quest that asks you to recover it. The engraved initials M.B. mark it as a made-to-order weapon rather than standard issue, and the quest giver is the one searching for its owner. Hold on to it until the quest step that calls for it; the chest reward is the only way to obtain one, so selling or discarding it is not possible while the quest is open.
