Broken Ancient Medallion is one of the smaller ruin loot pieces in Windrose. Items in this category are dug out of ancient sites, scavenged from collapsed temples, and looted from crumbling sarcophagi, then sold on to fences in faction towns. They have no in-game crafting use and are valued only as a source of Guinea income. Treat it as pure trade fodder: pick it up whenever a ruin run passes one, hold a stack, and cash the lot in on a single docking.
The stone in the medallion has cracked, and the gold setting is mottled with dark stains.
Spawns inside ruined points of interest in three biomes. Look for crumbling stone alcoves, broken sarcophagi, and altar tables; the model glows faintly when it is ready to be picked up. It is a static pickup at these sites rather than a random combat drop, so a cleared ruin reliably yields one when the spawn is present.
Biome | Where It Appears |
|---|---|
Ruined alcoves and altar tables inside jungle ruin sites | |
Collapsed temple interiors and broken stonework | |
Sunken sarcophagi and overgrown shrine ruins |
Sold to the Smugglers of Port Royal Provisioner or any other faction Buyer. Smugglers tend to pay the highest prices for ruin antiquities, since the rest of the factions consider the trade legally questionable. Stockpiling several before a single sale run minimises sail time. The exact Guinea payout per medallion is not surfaced in the item panel, so confirm the buyer's current offer in your build before committing to a long farm route.
Because it stacks to 99, there is no penalty to hoarding medallions across many ruin trips before a single cash-out.
It has no crafting recipe and no equip slot, so nothing is lost by selling every copy you find.
Bundle medallion sales with other ruin antiquities so one Provisioner visit clears the whole antiquities line.
