Bandages are the first healing consumable most players access in Windrose. They heal over time (HoT) rather than instantly, and they are crafted cheaply at the Level 1 Workbench from a single unit of Coarse Fabric.
Recipe and Effect
Property | Value |
|---|---|
Recipe | 1 Coarse Fabric |
Station | Workbench (Level 1) |
Heal Amount | 900 HP total |
Heal Type | Heal over time (30 seconds) |
Cancel Condition | Taking any damage during the HoT cancels the remaining heal |
When to Use
Bandages are ideal for out-of-combat recovery between fights. The HoT design means they are cheap but fragile: any hit during the 30-second window ends the remaining heal. Pair Bandages with a safe spot (behind cover, after clearing a room, or after dodging out of a boss's telegraphed heavy attack) to maximize the heal.
Bandages vs Healing Potions
Bandages. Cheap (1 Coarse Fabric), large total heal (900 HP), but over time and cancels on damage. Best for calm recovery
[object Object]. Expensive (Alchemy Table ingredients), instant heal (~55% of Max Health). Best for emergency recovery during boss fights
Most players carry both. A typical mid-game loadout: 10 to 20 Bandages for general exploration, 3 to 5 Healing Potions for boss fights. The Great Healing Potion replaces Healing Potions at higher tiers.
