WARDOGS is not played on a fixed arena. Players can build fortifications during a match, raising cover and defensive structures to help hold ground around the control zone.

At the same time, the battlefield is destructible. Cover can be torn down and the landscape reshaped by the fighting, so the terrain that protects a team early on may be gone later in the match. Combined with the randomized zone location, this keeps every battlefield fluid.

Building and destruction reward forward planning and teamwork: a coordinated team can fortify a strong position, while a determined assault can dismantle it, all funded through the cash economy.
