Sayuki is a SEAL officer who plays a central role in the opening of Varsapura. She conducts the Hollowone's entrance interview and becomes her mission partner. She is one of the confirmed playable characters in the three-character party system.

Weapon: Documents

Sayuki's weapon is unusual even by supernatural RPG standards. She fights with police documents and file folders. Her normal attacks involve swinging oversized folders at enemies, and pages visibly fall out on impact. Her skill summons enlarged document stacks to smash enemies, and her ultimate releases massive documents in a wide-area airburst attack.

The weapon choice is intentionally absurd and has drawn comparisons to the comedic weapon designs in Zenless Zone Zero. It fits Sayuki's identity as a bureaucratic SEAL officer whose paperwork has become literally weaponized.

Role in the Demo

In the 31-minute gameplay demonstration:

1. Sayuki interviews Hollowone during the SEAL application process

2. She administers an assessment trial in an alternate dimension (Otherworld)

3. When Mindrot disrupts the test, she fights alongside Hollowone

4. She accompanies Hollowone during a driving sequence through the city

Combat role

Sayuki fills a mid-range combat role. Her document attacks have moderate range and area coverage. In the Character Swapping system, she has a distinct intro attack when swapped in and an outro attack when swapped out, both incorporating her document theme. Her ultimate is one of the wider area-of-effect abilities shown in demo footage.

Demo Detail

Across the 31-minute reveal, Sayuki served as the protagonist's guiding officer for the SEAL recruitment trial. She is the senior agent throughout the Otherworld assessment segment, providing tactical commentary while Hollowone fights, and she escorts Hollowone to and from the trial site by driving them across the City of Rain. The driving sequence pairs her with Hollowone for an extended in-car dialogue scene where the two share canned Americano coffee, mixing transit with character development.

Voice Acting

The 31-minute demo includes English voice acting for Sayuki. HoYoverse has not officially announced the voice cast, and no voice credits have been published. Community speculation about specific voice actors should be treated as unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.
