Revision 1

Tropico 7 is sold in two digital editions, Standard and Deluxe. Kalypso Media opened digital pre-orders on October 20, 2026, ahead of the January 28, 2027 launch (see Release Date and Platforms). Every pre-order includes a bonus outfit for El Presidente, and pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition adds 48 hours of early access.

Prices

These are the list prices from the October 20, 2026 pre-order announcement. Digital pre-orders on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Kalypso's own store), Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 carry a 10% discount. On PlayStation, the discount applies to PlayStation Plus members only. On the US Steam store on October 20, 2026, the discounted pre-purchase prices were $49.49 for the Standard Edition and $62.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

Tropico 7 will also be available day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Pre-order bonus: Supervillain outfit

All pre-orders include the Supervillain DLC, a new outfit for El Presidente. Kalypso describes it as "a suitably ruthless new outfit for El Presidente". The Steam listing for the item opens with "No more Mr. Nice Guy." and says the outfit helps El Presidente "show to the world exactly what you're made of". It has its own Steam DLC page, titled "Tropico 7 - Supervillain Outfit", with the release date shown as "To be announced" as of October 20, 2026.

Deluxe Edition

Pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition gives access to the game 48 hours before the official launch. The edition itself adds a set of digital bonus items:

Together, the rooftop and garden pieces make up the 7 presidential deco items that Kalypso lists for the edition. Both Bunker and Flak Battery appear twice in the official list: Bunker as the palace facade and as a garden item, and Flak Battery as a rooftop item and as a garden item.

Deluxe Edition Upgrade

The same content is listed on Steam as a separate DLC, "Tropico 7 - Deluxe Edition Upgrade". As of October 20, 2026, its store page shows the release date as "To be announced" and gives no price.

Original Soundtrack

The Original Soundtrack contains 40 tracks. Kalypso describes the music as a mix of Latin rhythms, Caribbean grooves and laid-back melodies. Tracks named in the store text include:

• "Ropa Vieja"

• "Victoria" (the store text plays on whether the title refers to the rival Victoria Guerra or to victory)

• "Tambores de Felicidad"

• "Por Orden del Presidente"

The soundtrack is downloadable in two formats, MP3 and WAV. Besides being part of the Deluxe Edition, it has its own Steam listing, "Tropico 7 - Original Soundtrack", which showed the release date as "To be announced" on October 20, 2026. A snippet of the official soundtrack features in an in-game city clip published on April 7, 2026.

Physical edition

The Tropico 7 Deluxe Edition will also be released as a physical retail edition on January 28, 2027, for selected platforms and territories. Kalypso announced this on October 20, 2026; the FAQ had previously said there was no confirmed information on physical editions. As of October 21, 2026, the specific platforms and territories have not been named.

Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 version is sold as the Tropico 7 Special Edition. As of October 21, 2026, Kalypso has not published its price, its contents beyond Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and GameChat functionality, or any pre-order offer for it.
