Overview
Silberkreis is the wealthiest district in Vale Sangora, sitting closest to Greifberg castle within the city of Svartrau. The district's name, which translates roughly to "silver circle," reflects both its proximity to the ruling power and the silver mining wealth that built the valley's economy.
The cathedral
The cathedral in Silberkreis featured prominently in Rebel Wolves' press demonstrations at Gamescom 2025. The demo showed a quest with two distinct approaches depending on the time of day. At night, Coen infiltrates the cathedral and encounters Xanthe, an ancient Greek priestess turned vampire who uses Shadowstep abilities to move through the building. During the day, the same location presents a different scenario entirely: Coen searches for Saint Mihai's legendary sword and fights Muron, a creature born from a failed vampire transformation.
Day and night contrast
Like the rest of Svartrau, Silberkreis transforms between day and night. Daytime brings bustling medieval commerce and relative safety. After dark, Brencis's soldiers patrol the streets and the Vrakhiri hold sway. The notoriety system also affects movement through the district: higher notoriety draws more patrols and may trigger curfews that restrict access.
Relationship to other districts
Silberkreis contrasts sharply with The Middens, another named region in the game world. Silberkreis is the wealthy quarter closest to power; The Middens occupies a rougher, more neglected part of the valley. The game uses this contrast to reflect the social stratification that Brencis's regime has imposed on the population.
