Yu Shinjo is a central character in STRANGER THAN HEAVEN and the lifelong companion of Makoto Daito. He is portrayed by Dean Fujioka.

Role

Like Makoto, Yu is of mixed heritage, and he appears across all five eras of the story. He is described as a calculating realist, a friend and rival whose level head balances Makoto's impulsiveness. The two share the dream of creating a place where people like them can belong.
