Characters Based on Real Figures
Two roles are built on the likenesses of real people, created with the appropriate approvals. Amaru is portrayed using the likeness of Tupac Shakur, developed in close collaboration with and approved by his estate, with no artificial intelligence used in crafting the character. Genzo Iwaki uses the likeness of the late actor Bunta Sugawara, drawn from archival footage and photographs with the consent of his family and the rights holder.
Casting Notes
Takashi Ukaji appears twice on the cast list: he voices Genzo Iwaki, whose appearance is modelled on Bunta Sugawara, and separately portrays Tadashi Hataoka.
Four of the performers also perform the game's theme song: Snoop Dogg, Satoshi Fujihara, Ado, and Tori Kelly. Satoshi Fujihara is credited in official listings as a member of Official HIGE DANdism. More characters are expected to be revealed closer to release.
