Overview

Salt Brick is a gathering material in Starsand Island used to produce Fine Salt at the Charcoal Kiln. Fine Salt is one of the eight base cooking ingredients and appears in a large number of recipes, making Salt Brick an important resource to stockpile.

How to Obtain

Salt Bricks can be gathered from the following locations:

• Crystalith Chamber: Salt deposits can be mined inside the Crystalith chamber in the Moonlit Forest. This is one of the most reliable sources.

• Coastal Areas: Salt Brick deposits occasionally appear along the island's coastline and near rocky beach formations.

• Mining Deposits: Certain mining nodes in rocky areas may yield Salt Bricks alongside other minerals.

A basic Pickaxe is sufficient to mine Salt Brick deposits.

Processing into Fine Salt

Salt Brick is processed at the Charcoal Kiln alongside Fiber to produce Fine Salt. Unlike the other seven base cooking ingredients, Fine Salt does not come from the Separator; it exclusively uses the Charcoal Kiln.

Recipes Using Fine Salt

Fine Salt is used in a large number of cooking recipes. Some examples include:

• Lamb Skewers (1x Mutton, 1x Fine Salt)

• Grilled Chicken Wings (1x Fowl, 1x Fine Salt)

• Tomato Beef Stew (2x Beef, 2x Tomato, 1x Fine Salt)

• Spicy Boiled Beef (3x Beef, 1x Vegetable Juice, 1x Fine Salt)

• Tofu Seaweed Soup (2x Tofu, 1x Kelp, 1x Fine Salt)

Tips

• Always carry extra Salt Bricks. Fine Salt is required in so many recipes that running out will halt your cooking progress.

• Mine Salt Bricks in bulk whenever you visit the Moonlit Forest. They can be heavy, so bring bag upgrades.

• Fiber is easy to gather from grass and bushes around the island, so the main bottleneck is Salt Brick supply.

• Build multiple Charcoal Kilns to process Fine Salt in parallel, especially once you start cooking in volume.
