Rubber

Rubber is a processed material in Starsand Island produced at the Charcoal Kiln from Oilstone. It serves as a flexible component used in the Gas Stove blueprint, the Senior-tier Sharp Machete (5 Rubber), the Senior-tier Blast Hammer (5 Rubber), and several other advanced tool recipes.

Oilstone is mined from a cave beneath the bubble bridge near Mural Valley and from the Waterwheel area opened up after defeating the Glintortle boss. The Blast Hammer is required to break Oilstone nodes.

Production

Major Uses

• Gas Stove. The Aureleaf Kitchen blueprint for the Gas Stove uses Rubber as a component. The Gas Stove is one of the primary cooking stations alongside the Campfire and Oven.

• Sharp Machete (5 Rubber). The Intermediate axe upgrade. Combined with Premium Wood, Alloy, and Starflare Crystals.

• Blast Hammer (5 Rubber). The Senior pickaxe upgrade.

• Other advanced tools. Multiple Senior-tier and Expert-tier tool recipes list Rubber among their materials.

Tips

• Find the bubble bridge cave. The Oilstone cave near Mural Valley is one of the few reliable sources. The bubble bridge is part of the post-Glintortle exploration route.

• Confirm Blast Hammer first. Without the Blast Hammer, Oilstone cannot be mined. This blocks Rubber production entirely.

• Plan 15+ Rubber for the dual tool upgrades. Sharp Machete (5) and Blast Hammer (5) consume 10 Rubber between them. A 15-piece reserve covers both plus the Gas Stove with breathing room.
