Royal Gramma is a colorful tropical reef fish found in ocean zones in Starsand Island. It appears during Spring and Winter in any weather, giving it a relatively wide availability window across two seasons. With a sell price of 98g, it sits in the lower-to-mid range of ocean fish values. Royal Gramma accepts both Veggie Bait and Meat Bait, providing flexibility in what bait you bring to the coast.

How to Catch

Royal Gramma is one of the more forgiving ocean fish to catch. Here is what you need:

• Season: Spring or Winter. It is unavailable during Summer and Autumn.

• Weather: Any. Rain, sun, or snow all work, so you can fish for Royal Gramma whenever the season is right.

• Time: 10:00 to 24:00. A generous 14-hour window that covers late morning through midnight.

• Bait: Veggie Bait or Meat Bait. Either one will attract Royal Gramma, so use whatever you have on hand.

Head to any ocean fishing spot along the coast. The spots near Half-Moon Bay and Blue Beach are the most accessible. Toss bait into the water to generate fish shadows, then cast toward them.

Fish Pond Breeding

Royal Gramma requires 1 oxygen in the Fish Pond. With a Small or Stone Fish Pond holding 12 oxygen capacity, you can fit up to 12 Royal Gramma in a single pond. The Medium Fish Pond at 40 oxygen capacity is even more flexible. Stock the pond with Fish Feed (crafted at the Chopper II) and check each morning for eggs.

Tips

• Royal Gramma's dual-bait acceptance makes it convenient. If you are already ocean fishing with Meat Bait for Rainbow Trout on a snowy winter day, you may also catch Royal Gramma with the same bait.

• At 98g, Royal Gramma is not the most valuable ocean fish. Prioritize catching higher-value targets like Trevally (234g) or Whitefish (218g) when their conditions are active, and treat Royal Gramma as a solid supplementary catch.

• The 1-oxygen pond cost makes Royal Gramma an efficient fish for pond breeding. Fill a Small Fish Pond entirely with Royal Gramma for a low-maintenance breeding setup.

• Spring and Winter are the two non-adjacent seasons, so you will have gaps during Summer and Autumn. Stock up before the season changes if you need Royal Gramma for any purpose.
