The Cloud Surfer is an aerial-themed item available in Starsand Island, sold at the Starsand Shop inside the Community Center in Starsand Town. The Cloud Surfer is one of several rotating-stock items added through the Starsand Shop's content drops in the v0.3.x and v0.4.x patches.

The Cloud Surfer's source was incorrectly listed in earlier versions of the game. Two consecutive patches corrected the source so that the item now reliably appears at the Starsand Shop counter and matches its Islandpedia entry.
Patch v0.4.7081. First fix: corrected the listed source to the Starsand Shop.
Patch v0.4.7483. Second fix: corrected the Islandpedia entry to match the Starsand Shop source so the journal text and the actual vendor align.
The Starsand Shop was added in patch 0.3.5809 (March 26, 2026) and has expanded its inventory through subsequent v0.3.x and v0.4.x patches. It is the newest in-town vendor and is one of the main reasons to revisit the Community Center during mid and late game. Stock rotates and refreshes with each major patch, so check back periodically. See the Update History article for the full patch timeline.
Check after every major patch. New Starsand Shop items roll in with content drops. Visit the counter once a patch lands to see what was added.
Plan around Community Center hours. The Starsand Shop is staffed during the same hours as the rest of the Community Center, so it cannot be accessed in the middle of the night.
Use the Self-Service Terminal too. The same building houses the Self-Service Terminal used to claim Deluxe Edition content, Kickstarter rewards, and compensation items.
