Arcade Tokens and Games
Complete guide to the Chrono Arcade in Starsand Island. Covers the two minigames (Starblock and Foodybara), how to earn and spend Arcade Tokens, gacha machine prizes, lottery scratchcards, cumulative and personal best reward tables, and tips for efficient token farming.
Arcade Tokens and Games
The Chrono Arcade is an entertainment venue on the northeast side of Starsand Town, near the Community Center. Run by Loren, it features two playable minigames (Starblock and Foodybara), gacha machines with exclusive prizes, and lottery scratchcards. The arcade uses its own Token currency, which you earn through gameplay and purchase with Coins. Between exclusive furniture blueprints, clothing items, game skins, and gacha-only crafting recipes, the Chrono Arcade is a major source of collectible content.
Location and Hours
The Chrono Arcade is located on the northeast side of town, close to the Community Center. It is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Loren can be found inside the arcade roughly 90% of the time, either on the main floor or in the lower-left section of the building.
Token System
Arcade Tokens are the currency used for all arcade activities. You cannot use regular Coins directly at the machines.
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Exchange rate | 1 Token = 10 Coins |
Daily free tokens | 20 (from Loren or the cash register) |
Daily purchase limit | 80 Tokens (costs 800 Coins) |
Maximum daily tokens | 100 (20 free + 80 purchased) |
You also earn Tokens each time you play Starblock or Foodybara, supplementing your daily supply. To buy Tokens, speak to Loren or interact with the cash register inside the arcade.
Minigames
The Chrono Arcade has two permanent minigames. Each game tracks both cumulative scores (total points across all sessions) and personal best scores (highest single-session score), with separate reward tiers for each.
Starblock
Starblock is a Tetris-style puzzle game. Move and rotate falling shapes to complete horizontal lines. Completed lines disappear and award points. The game ends when blocks reach the top of the screen.

Foodybara
Foodybara is a Snake-style game starring a capybara. Control the capybara as it runs around the screen eating items. Each item consumed makes the capybara longer, increasing difficulty. The game ends when the capybara collides with a wall or its own body.

Note that some rewards require both a score threshold and Starsand Points to unlock. The Starsand cost ranges from 30 to 60 depending on the tier.
Gacha Machines
Two gacha machines sit on the counter next to the cash register. Each pull costs 20 Tokens (equivalent to 200 Coins). The machines come in five color variants (Golden, Purple, Blue, Green, and White), but the color is purely cosmetic and does not affect the prize pool. All drops are fully random regardless of which color machine you choose.
Possible gacha drops include:
Drop Category | Examples |
|---|---|
Crafting materials | Tin, Copper, Stone (common/low-value drops) |
Exclusive blueprints | Wok Spatula recipe and other gacha-only items |
Furniture and decor | Items not available through other vendors |
Ancient Precision Parts | Rare; also obtainable from the Ore Analyzer |
Various resources | Assorted crafting materials |
Gacha-exclusive recipes are the primary reason to invest in the machines. Certain blueprints, like the Wok Spatula, can only be obtained through gacha pulls and are not sold at Zerine's General Store or unlocked through profession progression. If you are aiming for 100% blueprint completion, you will need to pull regularly.
Lottery Scratchcards
The arcade also offers two types of lottery scratchcards:
Scratchcard Type | Token Cost | Description |
|---|---|---|
Single-panel | 5 Tokens | Smaller prize pool, lower odds |
Multi-panel | 10 Tokens | Larger prize pool, better odds |
Both scratchcard types award Tokens as prizes, making them a gamble on whether you come out ahead on your Token investment.
About Loren
Loren is the owner and operator of the Chrono Arcade and one of the romanceable characters in Starsand Island. He moved to the island to provide clean air for his younger sister Momo, who has a congenital lung condition. Before opening the arcade, Loren was a famous competitive gamer who retired at age 20 to become Momo's guardian. He is cheerful and easy-going, and cares more about everyone having a good time than whether the arcade turns a profit.
On sunny afternoons, Loren follows a routine that includes shopping at Zerine's General Store, dining at Aureleaf Kitchen, and buying sugar paintings from Hattie for Momo. During winter, he spends additional time with Momo at the pet shop and around town.
Loren's Gift Preferences:
Category | Items |
|---|---|
Loved (+15 Affection) | Coconut Latte, Lunar Crystal |
Liked (+10 Affection) | Caco Laco, Grilled Fish, Moonflower, Plain Noodles, Purple Hydrangea, Sweet and Sour Pork, Veggie Noodles |

Tips
Claim your 20 free Tokens daily. Even if you do not plan to play, the free Tokens from Loren accumulate over time and cost nothing.
Save the arcade for mid-game. Multiple guides recommend not spending Coins on Tokens early when you need money for seeds, tools, and animal purchases. Wait until you have a steady income from farming and cooking.
Gacha color does not matter. Golden, Purple, Blue, Green, and White machines all draw from the same prize pool. Pick whichever you like.
Play both games for rewards. Starblock and Foodybara have separate cumulative and personal best reward tracks. Alternate between them to progress both tracks simultaneously.
Aim for personal bests. Personal best rewards unlock game skins and visual effects. You must beat your own previous high score each time, so each unlock requires genuinely improved play.
Budget your Starsand. Many arcade rewards require Starsand Points alongside score thresholds. Since Starsand is the tighter resource in the game, factor arcade costs into your overall spending plan.
Pull gacha for exclusive blueprints. Some crafting recipes are only available from gacha machines. If you are pursuing full completion, consistent pulls over many days are more efficient than spending everything at once.
