Infinite Coil

Added the faction's confirmed combat profile and how it differs from the other two enemy factions
The Infinite Coil is the central threat in STAR WARS Zero Company, a Dark Side cult aligned with the Separatist cause. Stopping the Coil, and its leader Kundri Fathom, is the operation Zero Company is hired to carry out.
The Coil fights alongside the Confederacy of Independent Systems but pursues its own dark agenda. It fields its own shock troops, called Strikers, who fight beside the Separatist droid armies you face across the campaign. As a galaxy-threatening force, the Coil is what raises the war beneath the war from a series of jobs into a single escalating operation.
Figure | Role |
|---|---|
The cult's enigmatic leader and the campaign's main antagonist | |
Visser | A senior Coil figure and one of its lead fighters |
Typhon | A super tactical droid that coordinates Coil and Separatist forces |
Strikers | The cult's rank-and-file shock troops |
Like the other enemy factions, the Coil grows stronger over time. Through the Den cycle system, leaving the enemy unchecked lets it gain new upgrades each cycle, so the Coil is a moving target that the company races to bring down. One thread tied to the cult is its seizure of Luunata, the world once ruled by Jae Mordant.
Dark Side cults appear throughout Star Wars storytelling, but the Infinite Coil is original to this game. Anything the game does not show on screen is not confirmed as part of Zero Company's own telling.
Infinite Coil units bring a spread of abilities to a fight rather than raw numbers, which makes target priority the problem they set: you have to decide who dies and in what order rather than simply working down the nearest threats. That separates them from the droid armies of the Separatist Alliance, which fall to Ion weapons, and from Outlaw bands that try to swamp a position. See Factions and Enemies for the comparison.
