SpaceCraft launches into Early Access on June 11, 2026. This page explains what that means for players and how the lead-up is structured.
Early Access Launch
SpaceCraft begins as an Early Access release rather than a finished 1.0 product. In Early Access, the game is playable but still in active development, so content, systems, and balance can change, and the build is expected to grow over time.
The Road to Launch
The launch date moved from an original target of May 20, 2026 to June 11, 2026. The developer made the change to apply a final round of polish and to integrate the final translations before players got their hands on the game.
Milestone | Date |
|---|---|
Original Early Access target | May 20, 2026 |
Beta begins | May 20, 2026 |
Early Access launch | June 11, 2026 |
Beta
In place of the original launch date, a Beta is scheduled to run from May 20, 2026. The Beta gives players a chance to experience the game ahead of the official Early Access launch.
How Long Early Access Will Last
The developer expects SpaceCraft to remain in Early Access for at least six months. The exact length depends on player feedback and how development progresses, with the stated goal of reaching a high standard of quality and depth of content before the full 1.0 release.
State at Launch
The developer describes the Early Access version as including the core gameplay mechanics and features, fully playable, polished, and largely bug-free. They also note that some areas still need work during Early Access, in particular server performance and stability, lag reduction, infrastructure, and overall performance optimization such as CPU usage and frame rates.
Planned for the Full Version
The developer has outlined goals for the full release that increase the depth and complexity of the game, including:
More content in the galaxy, with new sectors and a variety of planets.
New ways to explore the universe.
More social options built around Corporations.
These plans and their progress are to be shared through roadmaps published over time.
Pricing Over Time
The developer plans to gradually increase the price at the 1.0 release, reflecting the additional content and features added during Early Access. The current launch price had not been publicly announced at the time of writing. See Editions and Pre-Order.
What to Expect in Early Access
Because SpaceCraft is online and still evolving, expect updates that adjust and expand systems such as mining, crafting, ship building, trading, automation, and combat over the course of Early Access. The pages on this wiki describe the game as currently confirmed and will be updated as the build changes. See Release Date and Platforms.
