Vulnerability Matrix
The Vulnerability Matrix is the named system at the heart of SOL Shogunate's combat. Every enemy has an elemental weakness, and exploiting that weakness at the right time is the main way a player shifts the combat math in their favour.
How It Works
Each enemy type has defined elemental vulnerabilities.
Players swap between weapons and abilities that match those vulnerabilities to exploit them.
Boss fights specifically test the player's ability to read a new moveset and find its weak point quickly.
Why It Matters
Because boss encounters in SOL Shogunate are dynamic, cinematic, and multi-phase, the Vulnerability Matrix is how the player keeps up with the pace of those fights. Brute force works; the Matrix system is how brute force becomes an efficient surgical approach.
