Each lunar metropolis is explicitly designed as an homage to a revered era in Japanese history. The moon doubles as a dominion symbol for the SOL Shogunate and as a cultural architecture showcase, letting the setting cover multiple Japanese aesthetic eras on a single sci-fi canvas.
