Twin-Light Fish
April 23, 2026 at 06:09 PM
Added dex number #321, expanded Sharp Lamp Fish evolution section with ability Convection, signature skills (Water Light Strike, Moisturize, Overcharge), and competitive role.
Twin-Light Fish (双灯鱼) is a Water and Electric dual-type spirit exclusive to Season 1 of Roco Kingdom: World. It is the base form of a two-stage line that evolves into Sharp Lamp Fish (利灯鱼) at Level 30. Lore descriptions note that Twin-Light Fish uses bioluminescent bacteria rather than light magic to produce its characteristic glow. The spirit must keep its head lamps above the water surface, which influences where it appears in the open world.
Dex | Name | Chinese | Evolves At |
|---|---|---|---|
#321 | Twin-Light Fish | 双灯鱼 | Base form |
#322 | Sharp Lamp Fish | 利灯鱼 | Level 30 |
Sharp Lamp Fish is the evolved form and the main competitive piece of the line. It retains the Water and Electric dual typing and gains an expanded skill pool oriented toward team energy support and Magic Attack burst.
Convection (对流) inverts energy cost changes on Sharp Lamp Fish's skills. Energy-cost increases convert into decreases, and energy-cost decreases convert into increases. Paired with the right teammates, this turns enemy debuffs into effective buffs.
Water Light Strike (水光冲击): 140 Magic Attack damage at 5 energy cost.
Thunderstrike (落雷): 100 base power with stacking increments of +20 per use.
Flash Strike (闪光冲击): 100 power at 3 energy cost.
Moisturize (润泽): Self-buff of +200% Magic Attack, and supplies 8 energy to the next spirit on the bench.
Interdict (阻断): Status skill that disrupts enemy energy generation.
Overcharge (加大功率): Switch out; the next spirit that enters the field receives a +8 energy bonus.
Sharp Lamp Fish plays as a Magic Attack special sweeper with a secondary team-energy support role. In Rain weather it hits serious damage numbers on Water skills, and its Overcharge switch-out leaves the incoming spirit with enough energy to immediately use a high-cost burst.
Season 1 exclusive encounter triggered through the Nightmare Shackles system. It cannot be purchased from shops.
Sanctuary fruit pair: Two pure Water-type sanctuary fruits. The second Water family depends on unlocking at least 100 Pokedex entries, which is the gate to the deep-blue whale family used in community farming routes.
Rotation: Standard 2 to 2 alternation between the two Water fruit families inside the sanctuary.
As part of the April 16, 2026 Magic Renewal patch, every player received a mail containing one shiny Twin-Light Fish egg. The egg hatches into a shiny variant without requiring the player to hit the Nightmare Shackles pity counter. This is the most accessible path to a shiny Twin-Light Fish during Season 1. The mail was sent in response to the water-domain continuous capture bug acknowledged in the April 13 Letter to Little Rocos.
Offensive coverage: Water hits Fire, Ground, and Stone supereffectively; Electric hits Water and Flying. Together the dual typing threatens most early-game frontlines.
Defensive weaknesses: Ground-type moves are especially dangerous since Electric is weak to Ground and Water alone does not cover the hole.
Synergy with Rain teams: In a Rain-biased composition, Water moves gain a 50 percent power boost, which pushes the line into serious damage territory.
Hatch the April 16 shiny egg before investing in wild farming. A free guaranteed shiny skips the pity grind entirely.
Keep the spirit in rainy zones or Rain weather system teams to amplify its Water damage.
Evolve promptly at Level 30. Sharp Lamp Fish has the stronger skill pool and higher stats; the base form should not be used in competitive content.
