Items and Equipment

Major rewrite: corrected equipment system to cosmetic-only outfits (no stat-boosting gear), added comprehensive capture ball catalog with 20+ types, alchemy system, Soul Ring Seals
Roco Kingdom: World takes a different approach to equipment compared to most RPGs. There is no traditional stat-boosting equipment system. Instead, the game features a cosmetic outfit system for character customization, a diverse catalog of over 20 capture ball types for catching spirits, an alchemy crafting system for item creation, and various consumable items. Understanding these systems is essential for efficient gameplay.
All character equipment in Roco Kingdom: World is purely cosmetic. Outfits, clothes, shoes, hats, staffs, hairstyles, and makeup change your character's appearance but provide no combat stat bonuses. This means a player's power comes entirely from their spirit team, cultivation choices, and battle strategy rather than gear progression.
Category | Description |
|---|---|
Outfits | Full outfit sets that change your character's overall look |
Clothes | Individual clothing pieces for mix-and-match customization |
Shoes / Hats | Footwear and headwear accessories |
Staffs | Wizard staff cosmetics; no combat stat bonus |
Hairstyles | Character hairstyle options |
Makeup | Facial customization options |
Cosmetic items are obtained through the in-game shop, event rewards, seasonal content, and achievement milestones. While they have no impact on gameplay, collecting outfits is a popular endgame activity for many players.
Capture balls are the most strategically important item category in the game. With over 20 confirmed types, each ball has different capture rates, costs, and special effects. Choosing the right ball for each situation can save significant resources and improve capture success rates.
Ball | Cost / Source | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Ordinary Ball | Craftable from ore + stamina at alchemy table | Basic capture ball; lowest success rate |
Advanced Ball | NPC Annie on Commercial Street | Improved capture rate over Ordinary Ball |
King Ball | 240 Roco Diamonds, or 10 Damaged King Ball shards, or 5/month from monthly card | 100% capture rate guaranteed |
Ball | Cost / Source | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Prism Ball | 1,600 Light Crystals or 1,600 Roco Diamonds | 100% capture + maximum stats + shiny skin on captured spirit |
Dream Weave Prism Ball | Season 1 exclusive | 100% capture + max stats + exclusive dark-gold skin variant |
Capture Light Ball | 80,000 Roco Shells in Season Hall | 100% capture rate; seasonal availability |
Nine Attribute Balls exist, each providing a capture bonus against specific element types. These balls are more effective than standard balls when targeting spirits of the matching type.
Ball | Element Bonus |
|---|---|
Photosynthesis Ball | Bonus vs Grass and Light type spirits |
Temperature Ball | Bonus vs Fire and Ice type spirits |
Adjust-Temperature Ball | 7,500 Roco Shells; 100/day limit; element-specific bonus |
Beautiful Ball | 7,500 Roco Shells; 100/day limit; element-specific bonus |
There are 9 Attribute Balls total, each covering a pair of elements. When hunting a specific spirit, using the matching Attribute Ball significantly improves capture success compared to Ordinary or Advanced Balls.
Ball | Condition | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Water Drop Ball | Rain weather active | Increased capture rate during rainy conditions |
Ice Ball | Blizzard weather active | Increased capture rate during blizzard conditions |
Sleepy Ball | Target is sleeping / nocturnal | Bonus capture rate against sleeping or nocturnal spirits |
Soft Ball | Inside dungeons | Dungeon-specific capture ball with improved rates |
Coco Fruit Ball | Season 1 memento | Equivalent to Advanced Ball; Season 1 collectible variant |
Conditional balls reward players who pay attention to weather, time of day, and location. The Water Drop Ball during rain and Ice Ball during blizzards can be very effective for capturing weather-dependent spirits at a lower resource cost than King Balls.
Common spirits: Use Ordinary or Advanced Balls. Do not waste premium balls on easily replaceable captures.
Rare spirits: Use Attribute Balls matching the spirit's type for improved rates without premium cost.
Weather spirits: Match the weather ball (Water Drop, Ice) to current conditions for efficient captures.
Legendary and boss spirits: Use King Balls for guaranteed capture, or Prism Balls if you want max stats and a shiny skin.
Save Dragon Breath Parasus captures for King Balls or the Capture Light Ball from the Season Hall.
The alchemy system allows players to craft items using materials gathered from the game world. Wild alchemy cauldrons are scattered across various locations and serve as crafting stations. The most common use of alchemy is crafting Ordinary Balls from ore and stamina, but the system also supports creating other consumable items.
Alchemy cauldrons: Found in the wild throughout the game world
Materials: Gathered from mining, foraging, and defeating spirits
Ordinary Ball recipe: Ore + stamina at any alchemy cauldron
Other recipes: Various consumables and materials; recipes discovered through exploration
Soul Ring Seals are consumable items that restore wizard stamina. They are earned through competitive activities including Star Duel (ranked PVP) and Territory Trial. A maximum of 64 Soul Ring Seals can be earned per season. Since wizard stamina gates access to various activities, these seals are a valuable but limited resource that should be used strategically.
NPC | Location | Sells |
|---|---|---|
Annie | Commercial Street | Advanced Balls and basic supplies |
Traveling Merchant | Various (08:00-24:00 daily) | Rotating rare items and materials |
Season Hall vendor | Season Hall | Capture Light Ball (80,000 Shells), seasonal items |
Triumph Avenue counter | Triumph Avenue | 4 free King Balls (one-time claim) |
Since there is no stat-boosting equipment, invest all resources into your spirit team. Cultivation, evolution, and nature optimization are where power comes from.
Craft Ordinary Balls via alchemy whenever you pass a cauldron. Free capture balls save significant resources over time.
Visit Annie on Commercial Street regularly for Advanced Balls. These are the best balance of cost and effectiveness for everyday captures.
The 4 free King Balls from Triumph Avenue should be saved for truly important captures. Do not use them on common spirits.
Check weather conditions before going on capture runs. Bringing the matching weather ball (Water Drop, Ice) improves success rates without premium currency.
Keep 64 Soul Ring Seals in mind as a seasonal cap. Pace your competitive activities to earn all available seals before the season ends.
