Overview

Box Monster (小箱怪) is one of the 13 hidden rare spirits in Roco Kingdom: World. Unlike most hidden spirits that trigger from a statue throw, Box Monster requires the player's overworld star magic.

How to Obtain

1. Teleport to the Sanctuary Outpost Magic Source (圣所前哨魔力之源).

2. Locate the concealed box next to the teleport point.

3. Use star magic on the box. Box Monster reveals itself.

4. Capture with any Gulu Ball.

Tips

• Star magic is unlocked through the world magic progression system. If the action is greyed out, keep progressing until star magic is available.

• Only one of the boxes is the disguise. The star magic animation plays on the correct box.

Sanctuary Outpost Layout

The Sanctuary Outpost Magic Source teleport is on the southern stretch of the Kaluoxi'a Continent, accessible after the relevant magic source has been activated. A small clearing next to the teleport point holds several similar-looking wooden boxes. Only one box is the disguised Box Monster; the others are decorative scenery.

Identifying the Correct Box

• Star magic must be equipped from the magic radial menu before approaching the boxes.

• Aim star magic at each box in turn. The disguised box plays the star magic stun animation; ordinary scenery boxes do not react.

• Once stunned, the box transforms in place and Box Monster becomes immediately catchable.

Capture and Aftercare

Box Monster has a slightly lower base capture rate than ordinary wild spirits. An Intermediate Gulu Ball or higher is the safer choice if the player wants to avoid burning many Normal balls on retry attempts. The capture is one-time per account, so a successful first throw saves a return trip.
