The Yawn specialty is one of the unique Pokemon Specialty types in Pokemon Pokopia, exclusive to Slowpoke. Talking to a befriended Slowpoke reveals the current humidity level of the area where you are standing. This is the only in-game way to query exact humidity values without entering the habitat menu.
In Pokopia, Yawn is a utility specialty for environmental sensing, not a status-effect move. The information it surfaces is used when fine-tuning habitats whose ideal conditions hinge on humidity tiers.

Slowpoke is the only Pokemon in Pokopia that carries the Yawn specialty. Slowbro and Slowking, the larger members of the Slowpoke family, are independent species in Pokopia that carry the Trade specialty rather than Yawn. Befriending Slowbro or Slowking does not give you a humidity reader; only Slowpoke can perform the Yawn check.
Slowpoke is a relatively common Water-type encounter in Pokopia. Build a coastal habitat near Bleak Beach or any humid area to attract it. Once Slowpoke is part of your island, talk to it whenever you need a humidity check.
Humidity is one of the key environmental properties of habitats. Some Pokemon prefer Humid habitats, while others prefer Dry habitats. Knowing the exact humidity reading helps you adjust water features, ground type, and proximity to water sources to hit the tier each Pokemon prefers. The reading also helps when chasing rare visitors that only spawn at specific humidity bands.
Befriend Slowpoke as one of your earliest specialty Pokemon if you plan to optimize habitat conditions across multiple regions.
Take Slowpoke with you as a follower when adjusting habitats so you can re-query humidity after each change without trekking back to its home.
Adjust humidity by adding water tiles, planting near ocean coasts, or removing dry stone surfaces, then re-talk to Slowpoke to confirm the new tier.
Yawn is the only specialty that surfaces a raw humidity value, which makes Slowpoke uniquely useful for fine-tuning Comfort Levels.
Slowbro and Slowking carry the Trade specialty in Pokopia and run their own shop functions; do not expect them to give humidity readings.
