Trade Stands and Collect Trades

Initial guide to Trade Stands and Collect Trades
There are two distinct trading systems in Pokemon Pokopia: Trade Stands run by Pokemon with the Trade specialty, and Collect Trades handled by Gimmighoul and Gholdengo using the Collect specialty. Both systems use barter (item-for-item exchange) rather than a currency.
Place a table and a Cash Register near each other.
Connect the Cash Register to a power source (generator, Utility Poles, or Wireless Power Transmitter).
A nearby Pokemon with the Trade specialty will automatically staff the stand and begin displaying items for sale.
Alternatively, rebuilt Pokemon Centers have built-in cash registers that do not require separate power. Trade-specialty Pokemon placed near a Pokemon Center will staff the built-in counter.
Trade Stands use a value-based barter system. Each item in the game has a base point value. To purchase an item from a Trade Stand, you must offer items from your inventory whose combined value meets or exceeds the asking price. You can offer up to 4 items per transaction.
Items that match the shopkeeper Pokemon's Favorite Items receive a 50% value bonus (shown in orange text), making them more efficient trade currency.
Each Trade-specialty Pokemon sells a signature mix of items. The selection depends on the individual Pokemon species and rotates periodically. Common trade stock includes:
Berries and food ingredients
Crafting materials (Lumber, Stone, Brick, Glass)
Seeds and plant items
Furniture and decorations
Occasionally Lost Relics and rare materials

The Collect system is a separate trading mechanic exclusive to Pokemon with the Collect specialty, primarily Gimmighoul and Gholdengo. Instead of general items, Collect trades accept specific collectibles in exchange for rare rewards.

In exchange for collectibles, Gimmighoul and Gholdengo offer rare items not available through normal Trade Stands:
Music Mats (all 8 note types)
Rare furniture and decorations
Premium crafting materials
Exclusive cosmetic items
Place multiple Trade Stands near each other to create a marketplace with varied stock.
Check each Pokemon's Favorites before trading. Offering Favorite items gets you 50% more value per item.
Trade Stands restock periodically. Check back daily for new inventory.
The Collect system is the only way to obtain certain Music Mats and rare decorations.
Gimmighoul is found in the Fossil Museum in Rocky Ridges. Befriend it early to access Collect Trades.
