Riolu is a Fighting-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Emanation Pokemon (Dex #180). It's exceedingly energetic, with enough stamina to keep running all through the night. Taking it for walks can be a challenging experience. Riolu is the first stage of the Lucario family. It carries the Build specialty, letting it assist with construction projects on your island.
Riolu can be found at two habitats, appearing as a Common visitor at both locations.

Riolu is a Common visitor at this habitat. It shares Box to the Rhythm with Machoke (Common) and Lucario (Common). Available at all times and in all weather.
Both habitats can be placed in any area. The Red Tall Grass is the simpler option, requiring only four Red Tall Grass. The Box to the Rhythm habitat needs a Punching Bag, Table, and CD Player, but also attracts Machoke and Lucario.
Build either the Red Tall Grass or Box to the Rhythm habitat. Riolu is Common at both, so it should appear quickly. The Red Tall Grass is cheaper to build, while the Box to the Rhythm gives you access to Machoke and Lucario at the same location. Walk up and interact with Riolu when it appears.
Riolu has the Build specialty. Pokemon with this specialty can assist with construction projects, helping to build structures and furniture faster. Station Riolu near a building site and it will contribute its energy to speeding up the construction process.

"It's exceedingly energetic, with enough stamina to keep running all through the night. Taking it for walks can be a challenging experience."
Riolu evolves into Lucario (Dex #181) through friendship during daytime in the main Pokemon series. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each member must be found at its own habitat. Riolu and Lucario share the Box to the Rhythm habitat, where both appear as Common visitors alongside Machoke.
Riolu is Common at both of its habitats, making it one of the easiest Build-specialty Pokemon to find.
The Box to the Rhythm habitat is especially productive. It attracts Riolu (Common), Machoke (Common), and Lucario (Common), giving you three useful Pokemon from one setup.
The Red Tall Grass habitat is shared with Kricketot (Common) and Scorbunny (Common). Building it gives you access to three Common Pokemon at once.
Riolu's Build specialty pairs well with Mawile's Build specialty. Having multiple Build Pokemon near a construction site speeds up the process significantly.
Riolu and Lucario both prefer dark environments and spicy food. Place their shared Box to the Rhythm habitat in a dark area with exercise equipment and construction items to keep both comfortable.
