Look That Way is one of the four mini games in Pokemon Pokopia. It is a simple prediction game where you guess which direction a Pokemon will turn. Unlike Hide-and-Seek and Jump Rope, which require specific unlock conditions, Look That Way is triggered randomly when a befriended Pokemon approaches you.
A befriended Pokemon approaches you and initiates the game.
Listen for the Pokemon's cue, then press the left or right button on the D-Pad to guess which direction the Pokemon will turn.
If your guess matches the direction the Pokemon turns, you win the round. If not, you lose the round.
The game consists of three rounds total.
You win the game if your wins outnumber your losses after all three rounds.

Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
Total Rounds | 3 |
Win Condition | Win more rounds than you lose (2 out of 3 or 3 out of 3) |
Controls | Left or Right on the D-Pad |
Timer | None; you can take as long as you want to decide |
Strategy | Purely random; there is no pattern or tell to predict the Pokemon's direction |
Completing Look That Way increases the comfort level of the Pokemon you played with. Winning the game significantly improves your friendship with that Pokemon. Even when you lose, your friendship still increases to some extent, so there is no downside to playing.
Look That Way cannot be manually triggered. A befriended Pokemon will approach you at random while you are exploring your town. When a Pokemon initiates a mini game, it could be Look That Way, Quizzes, or another activity. The selection is random.
There is no strategy involved since the direction is completely random. Just pick left or right and hope for the best.
Play the game every time a Pokemon offers it, since both winning and losing improve friendship.
Comfort levels generally increase once per day from mini games, so play with different Pokemon each day to spread the friendship gains.
Since the game has no timer, you can wait as long as you like before pressing a direction.
