Overview

Carkol is a Rock/Fire-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Coal Pokemon (Dex #194). Due to the coal tar created inside it, the heap of coal on Carkol's back never falls apart, even when this Pokemon rolls around at high speeds. Carkol is the middle stage of a three-stage family, evolving from Rolycoly and eventually becoming Coalossal. Like its relatives, Carkol carries the Gather and Burn specialties.

Habitat: Railroad Crossing (#132)

Carkol can be found at the Railroad Crossing habitat. This train-themed area attracts all three members of the Coal Pokemon family.

Carkol appears as a Common visitor at the Railroad Crossing. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This habitat also attracts Rolycoly (Common) and Coalossal (Very Rare).

How to Befriend

Build the Railroad Crossing habitat by placing a Railway Track and a Crossing Gate near each other. Carkol is a Common visitor, so it should show up without much wait. Walk up and interact with it to add Carkol to your island.

Specialties

Carkol has two specialties:

• Gather: Pokemon with this specialty pick up materials and other items they find on the ground and place them in a community box.

• Burn: Pokemon with this specialty can ignite nearby flammable objects, such as campfires and furnaces. This is useful for cooking and converting clay into bricks.

Preferences

Carkol shares similar preferences with its family members Rolycoly and Coalossal, favoring stone, fire, hard, and metal items. Its preferred flavor is spicy, unlike Rolycoly's sour preference. Decorate with stone and fire-themed items for the best Comfort Level.

Related Pokemon

Carkol belongs to a three-stage family alongside Rolycoly (Dex #193) and Coalossal (Dex #195). In the main Pokemon series, Rolycoly evolves into Carkol at level 18, and Carkol evolves into Coalossal at level 34. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each member must be found independently. All three appear at the Railroad Crossing, making it the go-to habitat for this family.

Tips

• Carkol is slightly bulkier than Rolycoly and shares the same specialties. If you only need one Gather and Burn worker, either one will serve the same purpose.

• All three members of the Coal family appear at the same Railroad Crossing habitat, so building one gets you access to all of them over time.
