How to get Hunter's Chain Sickle
Defeat The Hunt during the second encounter in Weeping Creek Valley, in Steel and Steam. The first encounter does not award this weapon.
Attacks and pulls
Skill | Input and effect |
|---|---|
Active Ability | Repeated R2 inputs perform up to three cuts. The full combo costs 1 Remnant Spark. The chain initially deals 30% of the sickle blade's damage. |
Shadow Bound | Follow a combo with Triangle or Square to pull the locked-on enemy closer. Against a large target, Soul moves toward the enemy instead. No additional Remnant Spark is spent. |
Relentless Pursuit Lv. 1 | Increases damage against enemies that are Burning, Frozen, Paralyzed, Poisoned or Bleeding. |
Chain-Sickle Traverse | R2 while dodging or sprinting sends the sickle into ground or wall to vault toward it, without an additional Remnant Spark. |
Coiling Chain | L1 + R2 pulls a locked-on enemy toward Soul, or pulls Soul toward a large enemy, without additional Remnant Spark cost. |
Gleaming Hook | Makes chain damage equal sickle-blade damage. A blade hit depletes more Sha-Chi and builds the Bleed Gauge toward Blood Loss; the bleeding effect excludes Puppets, Golden Bodies and Phantom Bodies. |
The Bleed exclusions describe the base effect. Livingwood Talisman makes Bleed and Lifesteal 50% effective against Puppets, Phantoms and Golden Bodies.
Grappling traversal
Grappling Traverse allows Soul to reach distant anchor points after obtaining the Chain Sickle. It remains available while the weapon is not equipped, so revisit routes with unreachable grapple points after earning it.
