Comprehensive article on galaxies and multiplayer
Petit Planet's universe is divided into three known galaxies: Hexia, Taffeh, and Norvanya. Each galaxy has its own cultural identity, Neighbor residents, and environmental aesthetics. Players can visit each other's planets across galaxies, and shared spaces like the Galactic Bazaar bring the community together.
Galaxy | Known Neighbors | Description |
|---|---|---|
Hexia | Yunguo, Isaki, Dorjelang | Home to the cultivator, beetle trainer, and hat maker. Hexia appears to draw from East and Central Asian cultural influences. |
Taffeh | Msafiri | The least-revealed galaxy. Msafiri is the only confirmed Neighbor from Taffeh, and details about its culture and environment are still emerging. |
Norvanya | Medowlyn, Frostia | Home to the plushie designer and mystic scholar. Norvanya features whimsical, pastel-toned environments including Medowlyn's pink beach planet. |
Loomi Corp is the galactic organization that employs the player and several Neighbors, including Esassani, Glenn, and Mobai. Loomi Corp operates across all three galaxies and manages the infrastructure that connects them, including the Starsea travel network and the Galactic Bazaar.
Players can link their planets together, creating networks of connected worlds. Linked planets appear in each other's sky and can be traveled to directly. This system encourages friend groups to build adjacent, complementary planets that form small communities.
Petit Planet supports full cross-platform multiplayer across PC, iOS, and Android. Players on any device can visit each other's planets, trade in the Galactic Bazaar, and join Starsea Voyages together. Save data syncs across platforms, so players can switch devices without losing progress.
Players can visit any friend's planet at any time, regardless of which galaxy either player is in. Visitors can explore the host's planet, interact with their Neighbors, and see their planet customization work firsthand. Visiting is a core social feature and one of the main ways players share their creative progress.
Beyond planet visits, multiplayer features include cooperative Starsea Voyages, group activities in the Galactic Bazaar, and seasonal events that bring large groups of players together. The game emphasizes cooperation and socializing over competition.
