3-This page lists the cooking recipes confirmed in Outbound. Recipes are prepared at three workstations available inside or near the camper van: the Baking Oven, the Cooking Pot, and the Food Processor. Cooked meals provide better nourishment than eating raw ingredients and help players stay healthy during their journey. For general information on how cooking works, see the cooking article.
3+This page lists every production recipe in Outbound. Recipes are not limited to food: the same production system that bakes bread also smelts ore, spins thread, presses bolts, and recycles litter. The shipped build has 57 recipes spread across 25 production stations, and each one takes a fixed number of seconds to run once its inputs are loaded. 5+Stations run one job at a time and draw power from the van's shared battery, so a long queue of 24-second Battery Workstation jobs will drain a small battery faster than a run of 3-second roasts. Craft times below are the base durations with no upgrades applied.

7-The following six recipes are confirmed in the launch build of Outbound and were previously visible across the public demo and beta phases. Each recipe lists its ingredients, the required workstation, and the in-game effect on hunger or health.
9+The table lists every recipe in the shipped build, grouped by the station that runs it. Where a station lists the same output more than once, those are alternate input sets that produce the same item: the Bio Burner will burn any of three fuels for one Electric Charge, and Mushroom Soup accepts any one of the four mushroom species as long as both units are the same kind.

16-Grain: harvested from wheat fields and grown via farming. A core staple for Baking Oven recipes.Water: collected from streams, lakes, or stored containers. Required by every cooked meal except Tomato Sauce and Jam.Tomatoes: grown in farm plots or harvested from wild patches. Tomato Sauce is a prerequisite for Pizza.Mushrooms: foraged in shaded woods. Amber Morel and Indigo Cap are the two confirmed species used in Mushroom Soup; mixing species does not produce the recipe.Herbs: foraged across The Outdoors and other biomes. Used in Herbal Tea.Berries: harvested from berry bushes. Used in Jam.
20+Grain is the single most-used cooking input, feeding Bread, Pizza, Carrot Cake and Banana Bread. Wheat takes two days in a crop plot and yields eight units per harvest, so one plot covers a lot of baking.Water is required by every cooked meal except the pressed and processed ones (Jam, Tomato Sauce, Bolts-style presses, and the Bread Press pairings).Mushrooms: four species exist, and Mushroom Soup takes two of the same kind. Amber Morel, Indigocap and Sunshrooms grow in two days; Golden Bolete takes three.Tomato Sauce is an intermediate: two Wild tomatoes make one jar in the Food Processor, and Pizza then consumes the jar.Coffee is a three-step chain. Grow Raw Coffee Beans, roast them at the Roasting Station, then brew five Roasted Coffee Beans with water in the Coffee Maker.Scrap Metal splits three ways: Bolts at the Bolt Press, Sheet Metal at the Sheet Press, and plain Metal at the Metal Smelter. Which one you want depends on the recipe, and it is easy to burn a stack on the wrong branch.

20-Set up at least one of each workstation early; many recipes require a specific station that cannot be substituted.Tomato Sauce is the only intermediate ingredient confirmed so far. If a recipe slot is locked, check whether you need to pre-process an ingredient first.Mushroom Soup is the cheapest health-restoring meal once you find a reliable mushroom patch; pair it with Herbal Tea for variety.Jam and Tomato Sauce both use the Food Processor and run quickly, so they make good pre-trip prep before a long drive.
24+Cooked meals are worth the detour. Bread restores more hunger than the raw grain that went into it, and Pizza restores more than Bread.The Cooking Pot and the Tea Station both restore health rather than hunger, so keep at least one of each once you start taking falls in the canyons.Roasting Station recipes finish in three seconds, the fastest in the game. Popcorn is a cheap way to convert a corn surplus into something portable.The Bread Press only takes finished goods, so bake or process the components first. Bread plus Jam, or Bread plus Honey, both take seven seconds.Battery Workstation jobs are the slowest at 24 seconds each and the most power-hungry. Queue them while you are out gathering rather than while you are waiting.Every mushroom variety makes the same soup, so plant whichever species you find first rather than hunting for a specific one.

24-Additional recipes are unlocked through progression and have not yet been fully catalogued. New recipes typically arrive through the in-game patch notes shown on the title screen, and the technology tree article tracks blueprint unlocks tied to new recipe stations as they are added.
28+Recipes are gated behind blueprints, so a station you have not downloaded yet will not show its recipes in any menu. Blueprint acquisition is covered on the Technology Tree and Signal Towers pages. New recipes arrive with content updates: the fishing update added the Scoop Net to the research tree, and further additions are listed on the Version History page as they ship.
