Added Image column to every item table so each row shows the item's in-game icon alongside its grade and purpose
Items in Neverness to Everness are the consumable resources a player collects, trades, and spends to raise characters, weapon Arcs, Mind Levels, and Esper Abilities. Because NTE layers several progression systems on top of one another, items fall into eight distinct functional buckets, each sourced from a different set of domains, bosses, shops, or selection boxes. This page is the full catalog: 105 materials grouped by function, with a linked article for every one.
Every item article lists the grade, in-game sources, crafting recipe, and which characters or Arcs need the material at which ascension phases. The tables below are the directory; use them to jump directly to the item you are farming or planning to spend on.
Grades matter. Most materials exist in a C / B / A ladder (with S reserved for weekly boss drops and Mind Shards). Three lower-grade copies refine into one higher-grade copy at the crafting workbench, which costs Fons but is deterministic; use it whenever RNG is slowing you down.
The Hunter Exchange is the backbone. Almost every farmable material is also stocked at the Hunter Exchange in exchange for Fons and weekly currency. Unless you are saving Fons for a vehicle or housing upgrade, spend whatever you need to close gaps that block the next ascension phase.
Dailies drive the economy. Bubble Can Factory (Arc materials), Houdinii's Schemes and Magic Stage (character EXP / Esper materials), Rabbit Hole (module EXP), and Anomaly Hunts (character ascension drops) are the daily anchors. Rotate them based on what you are actively upgrading.
Mind Shards and Weekly Pilgrimages are the long tail. Endgame investment runs on weekly boss drops and duplicate-pull Mind Shards. There is no way to rush either; plan a weekly routine that always clears the Pilgrimage and uses spare pulls on characters you already own.
Arc Ascension materials are consumed at the Arc workbench to push weapon Arcs past ascension walls. The ladder climbs C-grade to B-grade to A-grade variants at a 3-for-1 refinement ratio, so stockpile the low-grade versions before spending on the higher-tier ones.

Mind Shards are character-locked and consumed at the Awakening menu to raise a character's Mind Level. Duplicate gacha pulls fold directly into Mind Shards, so keep pulling on characters you already own when late-stage awakenings are on your to-do list.

Esper Ability materials unlock higher-tier Esper skills. Unlike character ascension materials, most of these are themed around role-play performances (dealers, officers, tourists) and come primarily from Houdinii's Schemes.

Keep at least a small buffer of Senior and Elite Hunter Guides so that a new gacha pull can be brought online without a grinding session. Character Leveling covers the EXP curve in detail.
Do not hoard low-grade materials indefinitely. If the weekly refresh leaves you with a stack that is clearly more than a character will consume, refine it up one tier and bank the higher-grade copy instead.
Check the Material Selection Boxes in your inventory before blowing Fons at the Hunter Exchange. The boxes let you pick the exact material you need, so they are higher-value than a raw Fons purchase.
Weekly Anomaly Pilgrimage bosses drop irreplaceable S-grade materials. Prioritize the Pilgrimage clear even on weeks when the rest of your play time is limited. See Anomaly Bosses for the rotation schedule.
