Going, Going, Gone! is a limited-time auction mini-game in Neverness to Everness, presented in-game as the Treasure Ship Auction. Players appraise a set of lots under a time limit and bid against three rivals, with the goal of building a fortune on accurate valuations rather than raw spending. The mode ran from July 29, 2026, following that day's update, until August 19, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8).
Setup
The mode uses its own dedicated currency, Gold Shells, so bidding does not draw on the standard economy. Before entering an auction, players freely choose an Auction Assistant and a Device Set. Both feed the appraisal step: the Assistant and the equipped items supply intel that helps estimate what the lots are actually worth.
There are three auction tiers. Each tier offers different lots and carries its own entry requirements, so higher tiers gate access behind progress rather than being available from the start.
Bidding Rounds
An auction runs for five rounds. In each round the player estimates the total value of the lots within the time limit and submits a bid. A sufficiently aggressive bid can close the auction early, and the multiplier required to do so falls with every round that passes.
Round | Instant-Win Threshold |
|---|---|
Round 1 | Bid more than 2x the second-highest bid |
Round 2 | Bid more than 1.6x the second-highest bid |
Round 3 | Bid more than 1.3x the second-highest bid |
Round 4 | Bid more than 1.1x the second-highest bid |
Round 5 | No multiplier: the highest bidder simply wins all lots |
Winning early takes every lot on the table at once, which is why the early rounds demand such a large premium. Waiting for the threshold to drop is cheaper but hands rivals four extra chances to close the auction first.
Ties and Round 6
If players are tied in Round 5, the auction goes to a sixth round. Only the players who tied may bid again, and the highest bidder takes all lots. If that round ties as well, the auction ends with no sale and nobody takes the lots.
Overbidding and the Loss Rebate
Bidding above what the lots are worth is punished, but the penalty is shared out rather than simply lost. If the winning bidder finishes the settlement phase at a loss, each of the other three players receives a bonus equal to 10 percent of that loss. A reckless winner therefore pays their rivals as well as overpaying for the lots, which makes disciplined appraisal the core skill of the mode.
Collectibles
Any collectibles won are added automatically to the player's Collection. From there each piece can either be sold outright or put on display, and displayed collectibles generate income over time. Selling converts a win into immediate value, while displaying trades that for a longer payout, so the choice depends on whether the player needs Gold Shells now or is building a passive return.
