Anomaly Pilgrimage is the core weekly endgame mode in Neverness to Everness. It pits the player against a rotating roster of high-difficulty bosses anchored at fixed spots in the open world. Each weekly attempt costs Character Pixels and grants Esper Ability enhancement materials when cleared. Players can claim rewards up to three times per week per account, and the reset rolls over weekly along with other endgame timers.

Anomaly Pilgrimage is distinct from Anomaly Commissions, which run on a daily-and-weekly cadence at lower difficulty for general progression rewards. Pilgrimage encounters anchor the long-term progression of an Esper's combat ceiling. The mode's reward structure is designed around the assumption that a player will run all three of their weekly attempts to keep Esper Ability levels moving forward.
Open the world map and select an Anomaly Pilgrimage anchor; both encounters appear as a separate marker category from regular world bosses.
Spend Character Pixels to enter the encounter. The cost scales by attempt and resets weekly.
Defeat the boss. Damage and difficulty scale with the boss roster and the player's Hunter Level.
Claim the weekly reward. The drop pool covers Esper Ability enhancement materials, with the specific drop tied to which boss you cleared.
Repeat up to three times per week. Attempts reset on the weekly server reset.
Two bosses anchor the launch Anomaly Pilgrimage rotation. Both are listed alongside other Bosses in the open world but are tagged as Pilgrimage encounters and gated behind the Character Pixel cost.
Boss | Region | Anchor | Drop Theme |
|---|---|---|---|
Green Wall Slope | |||
Talin Avenue | Talin Avenue waypoint | Dress Sleeves of Vanity, Crown Called Nobility, Scepter Called Prestige |
The mode is gated by Character Pixels, a progression currency earned from Anomaly Commissions, High-Risk Commissions, Hunter Level milestones, daily activities, and event rewards. Each Pilgrimage attempt consumes a fixed Character Pixel cost. Players who run all three weekly attempts will deplete most of their week's incoming Character Pixel budget unless supplemented through events.

Drops cover Esper Ability enhancement materials. The pool is partially deterministic and partially random within the boss-specific tier. Scattered across the rotation:
Drop | Source | Use |
|---|---|---|
Esper Ability enhancement | ||
Tier-up material for Esper Ability cap raises | ||
Esper Ability enhancement | ||

The Anomaly Pilgrimage Material Selection Box is a flexible drop that lets players pick which enhancement material they need most. It is the most reliable way to push a specific Esper Ability past a tier cap without grinding the same boss repeatedly.
Anomaly Pilgrimage rewards scale with player progression. The mode opens up after the initial story chapters complete and the player reaches a baseline Hunter Level. Running all three attempts each week is the default expectation for any Esper main pursuing a vertical kit ceiling.
Wait until at least one main-team Esper sits at Esper Ability level 4 or higher; the early ranks are cheap to reach without Pilgrimage drops.
Match boss runs to the Esper you are pushing. Check the drop list before spending Character Pixels.
Use the Material Selection Box to fill the gap on a specific stuck Esper rather than fishing for a rare drop.
Run alongside Anomaly Commissions weekly to maximize the combined Character Pixel income loop.
Pilgrimage encounters scale tougher than standard World Boss fights. Both launch bosses feature multi-phase patterns, environment hazards, and Esper Cycle reaction checks that punish single-element teams. A balanced four-Esper roster covering multiple element pairings makes the difference between a clean kill and a wipe. Cartridges and Modules tuned for the specific boss element heavily favor faster kill times.

New Anomaly Pilgrimage bosses are expected to enter the rotation through major version updates. The Patch Notes hub indexes which version added which boss. Players who already cleared the launch lineup can keep the weekly Character Pixel loop turning over by clearing the same two bosses again, or can save attempts in anticipation of a new entry.
Spend your three weekly attempts; unused attempts do not roll over.
Build a four-Esper team that covers two element pairings to handle each boss's weakness.
Check your Cartridges loadout against the boss element before entering. A small swap can save half the kill time.
Use the Material Selection Box drops to fill a stuck Esper Ability rather than hoping for a specific RNG drop.
