Reveal Trailer

Initial version (2026-08-29)
The first Nodusfall trailer is titled "Wield Divinity, Sever the Dreadnodus". It premiered during the opening night livestream of gamescom on August 25, 2026 and was published to the game's official channel the same day. It remains the single richest piece of released material about the game.
The trailer is introduced with a short piece of framing text: in an age devoid of order, with myth yet unwritten and the gods fallen silent, a lost Weaver wanders the world, gathering scattered threads to piece together the truth and uncover secrets long forgotten.
Two details in that line are worth isolating because they appear nowhere else. The player character is described as lost rather than chosen, and the myths of this world are described as unwritten rather than forgotten, which suggests the setting is positioned before its own legends rather than after them.
The word Dreadnodus appears in the trailer title and has not been defined in any released material. It is not explained on the official site, and no accompanying text says whether it names a single creature, a category of enemy, or something else entirely. The trailer title pairs it with the instruction to sever, which is the only context available.
Because the term is undefined, it should not be described as a boss, a species, or a location until HoYoverse states what it is.
The trailer is built around large-scale encounters against enormous mythological creatures and presents a darker, more grounded visual style than HoYoverse's released games. A second upload of the same trailer exists on the official channel.
Trailer footage is not a specification. Nothing shown in the trailer has been confirmed as a named mechanic, a playable character, or a final region, and pre-release footage is routinely rebuilt before launch. The confirmed mechanical claims come from the official site's pillars rather than from the footage, and those are covered in Confirmed Gameplay.
