The World of Hethereau
Neverness to Everness is set in Hethereau, a modern metropolitan city where supernatural phenomena called anomalies disrupt everyday life. Espers are individuals with the power to confront these anomalies. The city is divided into distinct districts including Bridge Crossing, New Hethereau, and the downtown core. Each district has its own culture, factions, and dangers.
Espers operate through various organizations, most notably the Bureau of Anomaly Control and the Eibon Antique Shop. Mismo's affiliation has not been revealed, but all playable characters connect to one or more of Hethereau's factions.
Esper Elements and Roles
Espers harness one of six elements: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Lakshana, Psyche, and Chaos. These elements interact through the Esper Cycle to create powerful elemental reactions during combat. Mismo's element will determine which reactions he can trigger and which teammates pair best with his kit.
Gacha and Acquisition
Characters in Neverness to Everness are acquired through the gacha system, which uses an in-game currency for pulls. S-Class characters appear at a low base rate with a pity guarantee, while A-Class characters are more common. Mismo was not available during either beta test and is expected to join the roster at or after launch.
