Cross-Platform Play

New article covering full cross-play and cross-progression across all supported platforms
Cross-Platform Play is a core online feature of Neverness to Everness that allows players on different platforms to play together seamlessly. The game supports full cross-play between all of its launch platforms: PC (Windows and Mac), PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. This means a player on a mobile device can team up with friends on console or PC without any restrictions.
Neverness to Everness launches on five platform variants, all of which are fully cross-compatible.
Platform | Cross-Play Support |
|---|---|
PC (Windows) | Full cross-play with all other platforms |
PC (Mac) | Full cross-play with all other platforms |
PlayStation 5 | Full cross-play with all other platforms |
iOS | Full cross-play with all other platforms |
Android | Full cross-play with all other platforms |
In addition to cross-play, Neverness to Everness supports full cross-progression. This means that a player's entire account, including characters, items, progress, and settings, syncs across all platforms automatically. Players can start playing on their PC at home, continue on their phone during a commute, and pick up again on PlayStation 5 later in the evening without losing any progress.
Cross-progression is tied to the player's account rather than the device. As long as the player logs into the same account on a different platform, all of their data carries over. This includes:
Character roster: All unlocked characters and their levels, equipment, and upgrades.
Story progress: Main quest and side quest completion status.
Inventory: All items, currency, and materials.
Housing progress: Apartment decorations and furniture purchases.
Achievements and rankings: Leaderboard positions, completed challenges, and earned titles.
Cross-platform play applies to all multiplayer activities in the game. Players on different platforms can form parties, complete co-op content together, and interact in the open world. This includes:
Co-op dungeons: Anomaly Dungeons like The Bank and The Hospital support cross-platform parties.
Team content: Pink Paws Heist and other team-based activities work across platforms.
Open world: Players from all platforms share the same world instances.
The cross-platform implementation is designed to make switching between devices as frictionless as possible. There is no manual transfer process or waiting period. Players simply download the game on a new platform, log into their account, and continue where they left off. The game handles all data synchronization automatically through its server infrastructure.
