Overview
A-Class Arcs are the mid-tier weapons in Neverness to Everness. Sixteen A-Class Arcs are confirmed at the April 29, 2026 global launch, including one event reward Arc (The Forgotten) handed out for free through the Hethereau Residents Guide pre-launch campaign. A-Class Arcs drop much more often than S-Class pulls, which makes them the default workhorses for most free-to-play accounts during the first few weeks after launch.
A-Class Arcs are not a downgrade in every scenario. Several of them, most notably Mind Royale (555 base ATK with a 60 Break Intensity roll), compete directly with S-Class options for specific roles. Refinement further narrows the gap: a fully refined A-Class Arc can out-perform an unrefined S-Class whose passive is mismatched to the wearer. All stats below are cross-referenced with the Arcs Database.

How to Obtain A-Class Arcs
A-Class Arcs come from multiple sources, not just the gacha banner:
Scarborough Fair Gacha: every 10-pull guarantees at least one A-Class or higher Arc, so even unlucky pity runs feed the A-Class pool.
Event Rewards: The Forgotten is free from the Hethereau Residents Guide pre-launch event. Post-launch events routinely hand out A-Class selector tickets.
Story Milestones: the main story quest line awards at least one A-Class Arc during early chapters.
Shop Exchange: a subset of A-Class Arcs can be purchased directly with currencies earned from commissions and weekly activities.
A-Class vs S-Class Priorities
For a free-to-play or low-spend roster, refining the right A-Class Arc usually beats chasing a second limited S-Class banner. Three patterns come up repeatedly in team-building guides:
Stagger comps: Mind Royale at refinement is the best launch budget option for Break Intensity Casters.
Lakshana reaction teams: Watch Your Heads! scales on Remora and Stain reactions and competes with mid-tier S-Class options.
Parry specialists: Drawn Blade converts successful parry reads into bonus Incantation damage and is the only A-Class built around defensive skill expression.
Anima Skill and Ult DPS: Clear Skies provides an unconditional Anima damage multiplier without requiring setup.
Defensive tanks: Umbrella is the go-to A-Class for shielders and HP-scaling builds.
Support buffers: Failing You, Heavy in My Heart stacks team ATK via the Spider Knowledge mechanic and fills the budget support slot behind Good Boy's Grand Adventure.
Tips for Using A-Class Arcs
Refine aggressively. A-Class Arcs show up in far higher quantities than S-Class, so reaching R3 or R5 on a matched A-Class is realistic within the first few weeks.
Do not benchmark A-Class Arcs against Rank 1 S-Class stats alone. Compare refined stat lines and trigger conditions to see which one actually lands more damage in your rotations.
Claim The Forgotten before launch by finishing the Hethereau Residents Guide event. It is effectively a free pity cycle of pulls.
Match secondary stats to roles. CRIT and ATK rolls go on DPS Casters; HP and DEF go on tanks; Break Intensity goes on stagger specialists; Charge Efficiency goes on rotation-dependent supports.
Use A-Class Arcs on bench Casters. Filling out a second team with refined A-Class Arcs unlocks side modes and co-op activities faster than trying to build every character around S-Class weapons.
