The Hand are an enemy faction in Marvel's Wolverine, red-hooded and masked and armed with katanas and bows. Insomniac has said Logan and The Hand share a history that players uncover as they tear through the story, and has deliberately not revealed what it is.
They fight nothing like the Reavers. Where a Reaver fight is heavy and mechanical, The Hand are fluid and precise: acrobatic movement, accurate projectiles, and blades made to hurt a man who normally cannot be hurt for long.

The healing-stunting blades are the important one. Logan's survivability normally comes from regeneration rather than from a health bar he can raise by levelling, so a weapon that suppresses the healing factor changes the maths of an encounter in a way ordinary damage does not. It is a different mechanism from Bolivar Trask's Ability Inhibitors, which switch the whole team's powers off, but the effect on Logan overlaps.
They show up earlier than the Japanese material suggested. A hands-on session with the opening Team X mission met Hand ninjas alongside Trask's Reavers in Telambang, so the faction is present from the start rather than being held back for the Japanese leg. Trophy data separately places an encounter with them somewhere in Japan.
The Hand also drive one of the campaign's set pieces. They kidnap Walter Langowski, which sets off a rooftop chase across Madripoor over railings, across gaps between buildings and along ziplines, with the markets running below. The faction's comics history is not a source for this game. What the shared history with Logan turns out to be is a story beat Insomniac has said it is holding back, and this wiki does not fill the gap from other material.
