Added Appendix Q quirk changing gadget to special items
Items and currency support nearly everything you do in LumenTale: Memories of Trey, from catching Animon to crafting and customizing your Anispace. This page collects what is currently confirmed about the game's economy and consumables.
The capture currency is the Bilia. Bilias come in many variants, each suited to different situations. The standard variants confirmed early are below, and several specialized Bilias are obtained as you progress.
Item | Notes |
|---|---|
Bilia | The standard capture item, the workhorse of any expedition. |
Bilia + | An improved standard capture item. |
Bilia EX | A higher-grade capture item. |
Velox Bilia | Reduces the number of QTEs needed to catch an Animon; if the QTE is missed, it performs like a normal Bilia. Included in the launch-window bonus. |
Lost Bilia | A capture item tied to rarer encounters, also included in the launch-window bonus. |
Felicis Bilia | Performs better when capturing Felicis |
Horrens Bilia | An attribute Bilia tuned for Horrens |
Experience Bilia | Gives the captured Animon an EXP boost on capture; the boost only happens once. |
Scan Bilia | A Bilia variant tied to scanning. |
Craft Bilia | A Bilia variant tied to crafting. |
Capturing wild Animon with the Holoken relies on consumable capture items, so keeping a stock is important before heading into new territory. The launch-window bonus bundles a capture set of 30 Bilias, 10 Velox Bilias, and 5 Lost Bilias as a starting cushion. See How to Get More Bilias for how to buy, craft, and earn more.
The main ways to stock up are to buy them from shops in cities and camps, craft them at rest spots, or earn them from quests. When crafting, switch to Ales, who has the highest success rate. Talk to every NPC in a new city so you do not miss sidequests that reward Bilias. See How to Get More Bilias and Crafting and Cooking.
The launch-window bonus also includes Memostones, and the Memostone appears in the in-game item list, confirming it as a real item. It ties into the game's memory theme, fitting for a story about Trey recovering his lost past. Its precise in-game use is best confirmed in the live build.
Many items are raw materials used in crafting. Pyrites and gemstones are gathered largely by breaking rocks with a Geo Type Animon, while ingredients are picked from the field. See How to Break Rocks.
Pyrite | Pyrite | Pyrite |
|---|---|---|
Common Pyrite | Tough Pyrite | Corrosive Pyrite |
Infernal Pyrite | Frozen Pyrite | Natural Pyrite |
Spirit Pyrite | Blazing Pyrite | Flexible Pyrite |
Aquatic Pyrite | Hi-Tech Pyrite | Light Pyrite |
Electric Pyrite |

A large set of ingredients feeds the game's cooking recipes, gathered from the field or bought in towns. These include Herbs, Fish, Molluscs, Mushrooms, Scarberry, Courgette, Flour, Cheese, Salt, Grapes, Milk, Pepper, Sugar, Olive Oil, Aubergine, Rice, Potatoes, Spices, Dried Fruit, Red Meat, Leafy Greens, Tomato, Garlic, Truffle, Crustaceans, Onion, Strawberry, Pulses, Melon, and White Meat. Prepared foods include Pane, Pane Fritto, Crostata, Caffe Sospeso, Magifruit, Velocifruit, Sbrisolona, Protectifruit, Cerebrefruit, Moratella, and Purple Poppy. See Crafting and Cooking.
Beyond consumables, the game has a collectible card set: more than 100 cards across three sets, traded the same way Animon are. Each pack contains two Common cards, two Uncommon, one Holo, and one Rare or rarer Power Card. See Trading for how the card economy slots into the trading system.
Furniture is used to decorate the Anispace. There are more than 500 unique pieces to collect, available through crafting and local vendors out in the world. The launch-window bonus also includes exclusive furniture. See Early Adopter Pack Bonuses.
